The European Commission (DG GROW) and the Intelligent Cities Challenge are organising an event on “Up and Reskilling in cities – preparing the local workforce through partnerships in European Industrial Ecosystems”, taking place in Brussels on Thursday 22 September 2022, from 08:30 – 17:30 CEST
The event is a public session to inspire and share ideas around how cities/local economies can support the reskilling of their workforce under the Pact for Skills, in order to succeed in the green and digital transition.
EU officials, experts and ICC cities will:
- Present the commitments under the Pact for skills and partnerships in European Industrial Ecosystems, relevant to the ICC Cities
- Share experiences and work done in their cities to address the skills gaps and prepare the local workforce for the jobs of the future through vocational education and training (VET)
- Provide insights into key lessons learned.
